Overview
The Special Events Coordinator plays a vital role in creating memorable, mission-driven experiences that celebrate, support, and spotlight the work of ChatterGirls. This volunteer leads the planning and execution of events such as graduation ceremonies, community workshops, Girl Empowerment Days, and donor appreciation nights—ensuring every event reflects the heart of our mission to empower girls ages 8–14 with confidence and resilience.
Key Responsibilities

📅 Plan and Manage Special Events

Oversee logistics for events from concept to completion, including timelines, checklists, and budgets

Coordinate venues, vendors, permits, supplies, and other logistical needs

🧍♀️ Create Engaging and Empowering Experiences

Help design meaningful, girl-centered moments that celebrate participants and inspire supporters

Ensure each event aligns with ChatterGirls’ values and visual branding

📢 Coordinate Event Communications

Collaborate with the marketing team on invitations, promotional materials, and follow-up content

Communicate event details clearly with volunteers, partners, and staff

👥 Lead Day-of Support and Team Coordination

Recruit and coordinate volunteers for setup, guest welcome, and breakdown

Serve as the go-to person on the day of the event to ensure things run smoothly

Skills & Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Experience in event planning, hospitality, or logistics is a plus (but not required)
