BOARD MEMBER

Dedicated Volunteer Position

Organization:

ChatterGirls, NFP

Commitment:

4–6 hours per month (includes quarterly meetings, event support, and committee participation)

Term:

2 years, renewable

Overview

ChatterGirls is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls ages 8–14 by building self-awareness, resilience, and confidence through transformative mindfulness programs. As a Board Member, you will help shape the strategic direction of the organization, promote sustainability and growth, and serve as an ambassador of our mission in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and actively participate in board meetings (in-person or virtual)

  • Provide strategic oversight, governance, and fiduciary responsibility

  • Serve on at least one committee (e.g., Fundraising, Program Development, Marketing, Finance)

  • Support and promote ChatterGirls’ mission through outreach, networking, and advocacy

  • Contribute to fundraising efforts through personal giving and/or securing donors and sponsors

  • Assist in identifying and connecting potential partners, donors, and volunteers

  • Attend or assist with ChatterGirls events and special programs when possible

Who We're Looking For

We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about youth development, education, mental health, equity, or community leadership. Expertise in nonprofit management, finance, law, fundraising, marketing, or program development is especially valuable.
