FUNDRAISER EVENT COORDINATOR

5–10 hours/month (varies by event)

Overview

The Fundraiser Event Coordinator is a key volunteer who brings ChatterGirls’ mission to life through creative, engaging, and impactful fundraising events. This role leads the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising initiatives that generate critical support for our programs that empower girls ages 8–14 with confidence, mindfulness, and self-worth.

Key Responsibilities

  • 📅 Plan and Organize Fundraising Events

    • Coordinate logistics for events such as benefit dinners, online auctions, donation-based workshops, or community pop-ups.

    • Develop event timelines, checklists, and communication plans.

  • 🤝 Engage Sponsors and Partners

    • Identify and reach out to local businesses and community organizations for sponsorships, donations, and in-kind support.

    • Collaborate with the Community Giving Coordinator when applicable.

  • 📣 Promote Events and Boost Participation

    • Work with the marketing team to create promotional materials and social media content.

    • Help recruit and coordinate volunteers for event support.

  • 💡 Bring Creativity to Fundraising

    • Help brainstorm and implement innovative fundraising ideas that align with our mission and resonate with families, schools, and local communities.

  • 📊 Track Outcomes and Report Success

    • Collect feedback, track funds raised, and provide a post-event summary with suggestions for future improvements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Passion for youth empowerment and community engagement

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Confident communicator with people of all backgrounds

  • Experience in event planning, fundraising, or project management (preferred but not required)

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
